How to Get Homebound Delivery

Are you a homebound resident in Johnson County, Indiana and have no way to pick up food using our drive-through program? Are you medically unable to drive to the pantry or lack transportation AND live in Johnson County?

We offer limited home delivery for our food and other items every other week, staffed by our volunteers.

Please be mindful this is a volunteer-led organization and community service. Please be patient with us as we work to serve your needs. We ask you to request home delivery ONLY when needed so we can continue to provide the service to those that need it most.

About Homebound Delivery

How often do you deliver to those who qualify?

Qualified clients can use our service TWICE a month. We will only deliver to a physical address two weeks out of the month even if two households live in the same household.

What is your delivery area?

We only deliver to addresses located in Johnson County.

When do you deliver?

Deliveries occur two times a month and will be on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or the second or fourth Saturday of the month.

What is your delivery request deadline?

Delivery requests will end each WEDNESDAY at noon. Delivery requests made after the Wednesday of the week will be moved to the following week. There will need to be someone at your residence to accept the food delivery.

What are the delivery procedures?
  • Please plan to receive the delivery on the day requested. The delivery will typically arrive between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays and between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

  • If you live in a house or apartment with outside access, we will knock on your door or ring your doorbell once the delivery has been placed on your doorstep. If you do not answer, we will try to contact you via your phone number to let you know your food has been delivered.

If you live in a hotel or inside an apartment complex, we will NOT be able to deliver your food to your door. We will contact you via your phone and you must come outside to collect your food.

What else is required for delivery?
  • Have a visible address on your house.
  • If there are any gates between the street and the front door, either open them or provide instructions on the food order as to how access is to be obtained.
  • Remove or place any dogs on a leash.
  • Clear any dangerous ice or snow in the pathway.
  • Ensure there is a place for the volunteer to park to unload the food.
